Piano teacher, composer, and creator of the Piano Notion method

Hello everyone! My name is Bobby Cyr — piano teacher, composer, professional pianist, and founder of the Piano Notion method. With over 30 years of teaching experience, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping others discover the joy of playing the piano.

Background and expertise

I hold a Master’s degree in music writing from the University of Montreal, where I gained a strong foundation in theory, composition, and performance. Since 1995, I have dedicated myself to piano teaching, always striving to provide clear, progressive, and motivating tools for my students.

Specialized sheet music

Over the years, I noticed that many available scores did not fully meet students’ learning needs. I therefore created arrangements and sheet music tailored to beginners and teachers.

The Piano Notion Method

I then developed the Piano Notion method — a step-by-step approach combining sheet music, pedagogical explanations, and interactive videos.
